Wayne Davey DPAGB BPE4 AWPF
Like most of us, I always had a point and shoot camera for those special occasions, but after a family visit to RSPB Minsmere Dec 2012 I treated myself to a Canon 600D and a Sigma 150-500mm. If i only knew then....
Within a year I had joined a small club to learn how to improve my photography, started in the local competitions and had a few images printed in the local newspapers.
A year later I joined Lowestoft Photographic Club and started the EAF competitions. 8 years, 2 motorhomes, 50,000 miles and countless changes in equipment later, and my passion for landscape photography and travel, one fuels the other, is still growing. I also enjoy the challenge of all other genres.
I helped to run The Belton Camera Club, it is a practical group, the type of group i sort out but never found as a beginner, where we teach photography and processing. I have also started running my own photographic workshops through my website www.vistaviews.co.uk.
I decided to become a PAGB judge in 2020 and also judge for “Photocrowd"
2021 I was honoured to be invited to join The Beyond Group where I am now surrounded by like minded and lovely people who are already having a very positive influence on my photography.
I am enjoying my BPE journey, having got 3* in 18 mths, gained my DPAGB, and now looking at other challenges.
Entering my 11th year of photography I feel just as enthusiastic as i did my first, but hopefully with better results
I was recently invited to join the “Barn House Academy” as the landscape specialist and mentor, along with on line training critique and competition preparations.
But above all else, I still love the feeling of photography and the joy I get from it.
Regard Wayne
