I got interested in photography while at school, using 35mm film cameras and developing the photos in a dark room. I enjoyed photographing sport, but dropped the photography to play football, rugby and cricket rather than photograph it. I picked up photography again once I started a family and it has escalated from there.
My main interest now is wildlife photography. It can be very frustrating as you cannot direct wildlife, but the rewards after a successful shoot far out way the days you blank. A personal project of mine at the moment is to photograph all the UK species of butterflies, of which there are 58. I currently have 55 in the bag so 3 to go, but it gets more difficult from here having to find them in the Scottish mountains and Ireland.
