"I would like to thank the Beyond Group Exhibition team for all there hard work in making the Beyond Group's 10th Open National Exhibition of Photography possible.
The Beyond Group strive to put on a high quality Exhibition, consequently it is very hard to get work accepted, this year you only had a 1 in 6 chance of gaining an acceptance. (16.5% acceptance rate). We had a record entry this year with many new entrants trying out this BPE exhibition for the first time. We had 4,733 pdi images from 478 entrants.
This means that some really good work did not make it into the exhibition, for example the judges tried to avoid too much repetition tried to create a balanced show of photography.
So congratulations to all those who had work accepted, especially to the award winners. Commiserations to those who were unsuccessful and may I wish you better luck next year.
I would like to thank everyone who supported the exhibition, for without you we would not be able to hold such a prestigious event."
